Marianne's Response
Fall is a good time to transplant hydrangeas but this shrub is easy to move any time of year when the ground is not frozen. Just keep the soil moist after the transplant operation. As for pruning the Rose of Sharon, do not prune until late spring when you see signs of new growth, usually May or June. This shrub goes dormant early as it hates the cold and pruning in the fall can stimulate growth that will be killed off by an early frost. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
