Marianne's Response
Why won’t my Endless Summer Hydrangeas bloom?
This is the first year that my Endless Summer Hydrangeas have not bloomed even though there is plenty of foliage, albeit late coming. I am not alone, however, because several of my friends have had the same problem. Could the nasty cold winter we experienced be the reason, even though they are supposed to bloom on old and new wood?

Your guess is the same as mine - all hydrangeas even the new ones will suffer frozen flower buds in hard winters especially if there is a thaw followed by a late spring frost. Some growers leave the dead flower heads on their hydrangeas all winter as this helps protect the new buds. Do not prune your hydrangeas this fall. Next summer you may be rewarded with a bounty of blooms making it worth the wait. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
