Thinning and storing irises and heirlooms
I have some iris plants that need thinning. Can I store them until next fall? I also have some Heirloom Harlequin bulbs. Can I store them until next fall?

Yes, you can dig and separate your spring blooming bulbs and tubers now and store them in a cool dry location. Do not let them dry out completely over the summer by letting them sit in a few inches of soil inside a container. A basement or shed would be a good storage location. In the fall you can replant the bulbs for a fresh start. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
