Yes. There are no rules when it comes to designing container gardens but the upright vinca (Vinca rosea or Catharanthus) will grow two feet tall and this may look out of scale in a basket of trailing verbena - unless you use a very large basket with room for the upright vinca to grow without interfering with the wires used to hang it. Both plants do great in hot weather so it could be a very beautiful and heat resistant planting. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
