Marianne's Response
Snails in California
This spring I have found 2 snails (slugs with shells) in my garden outside of Buckley. My niece found one in her garden in Enumclaw. I have NEVER seen a snail in my garden in 40 years! Is this a new invasion? Or have I just been lucky? Slugs are hard enough to control, what about snails?

Snails have made an invasion from California as they hitchhike on nursery pots. They explode in numbers during damp weather. You can control them the same a slugs with beer saucers or Worry Free slug bait. You can also handpick and stomp on them after a rain.
Keep growing - but not snails,
