What to do when Angel Trumpets are attacked by insects

Something is eating the leaves of our Angel Trumpets. It looks like a cluster of little bugs or an orange worm. It has eaten a whole bush.

Could you send a photo of the little bugs or orange worm? The little bugs could be a larvae form of the orange worm but if a whole bush is gone that indicates something larger such as deer. Did you mean all the foliage from a bush is gone? A cut worm or caterpillar can destroy leaves but will leave stems behind. A good control for caterpillars or worm like larvae is Bt or bacillus thungbergia. This insecticide will destroy the worm but not harm beneficial insects. It s best to ID the insect first before using any pesticide. Hand picking the worms from the plant can also be very effective. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
