So sorry but you will need a variety of plants to get blooms from spring to fall and peonies only flower once a year around the month of May, then they rest until they bloom again the following year. This is called a perennial plant. It flowers for a few weeks then goes dormant but comes back the following year. There are also annual plants that live only one year but flower all summer over and over but die in the winter so must be replaced annually. Flowering shrubs usually bloom for two to three weeks. but last for decades. For winter blooms chose shrubs such as forsythia and witch hazel, plus the perennial hellebores. Plant bulbs of daffodils, tulips and crocus for spring blooms with flowering shrubs of rhododendrons, lilac and viburnums depending on your climate. In summer use annuals such as geraniums, petunias and impatiens plus shrubs like roses and Rose of Sharon. In fall the perennials like mums and Sedum 'Autumn Joy' along with Japanese anemone will give flowers and some shrubs have great fall foliage color such as the burning bush and Japanese maples. An easy way to get a landscape with year round color is to visit the nursery every month and invest in a plant in flower that fits the location in your garden such as full sun or light shade. The nursery staff can help you select the right plant for the right place and you will learn a lot about bloom times by visiting nurseries often. You will have a flower filled garden in your future.
