What is growing?
I hope you can help! My plant is a Monstera that I bought over a year ago. It’s starting to grow these weird stick like things and was wondering if you knew what they were? I also would like to repot and place in a bigger pot and add some more soil. What would you recommend?

Congratulations - your houseplant is spreading out new roots and ready for a larger pot. In the wild this tropical plant will send out searching roots like this to dig into a tree trunk and climb up a tree. You can try to direct them down into the soil as they grow or cut them off. The best thing to do is just let them grow and the enjoy the unusual habit of your plant. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
