What a really cool native plant this Silk Tassel Tree or Garrya elliptica is in Western gardens. It is not sold often at local nurseries unless they carry native plants but you can visit it at the Washington Park arboretum and I know they have plant sales so ask about future sales if you want to add this lovely plant to your own garden. So nice to have those lovely tassels in winter when not much is looking lovely. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
