When to harvest container potatoes
I planted several varieties of potatoes on April 11, 2021. What is the general rule of when to harvest? My leaves are still green some have turned brown but for the most part they are still green and growing. I live in Zone 7A.

When potato tops start to turn brown you can dig them up for harvest or you can leave them in the ground for winter storage or you can harvest early in mid summer for smaller new potatoes. Some potato varieties mature sooner than others and some keep better than others so you will to experiment a bit to see when the best time to harvest your particular variety of potatoes.
