Why Is My Hanging Basket Dying?
Hi Marianne,
I purchased five mixed plant (sun-loving) flower baskets. Four of them are doing very well, but one of them started dying a few days ago. They are in the same sunny location, and I water all of them the same amount of water. Any ideas? I am including before and now pics. Thank you

From the image you sent, it appears that the verbena is the most damaged, while the geranium is not. This clue suggests that a cold night could have affected this basket due to its location being closest to the wind or because it is the least protected. Verbena are more sensitive to cold than geraniums. The solution is to cut back the damaged sections. If night temperatures dip below 45 degrees, move this basket under cover or closer to the house. The other possibility is that the drainage hole is blocked, and this plant is getting too much water. Be sure the water drains after watering. Summer is coming, and your baskets will look great with the warmer weather. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
