How can I get rid of wild morning glories that have overtaken my garden?

First, my sympathy. Morning Glory is a noxious weed and hard to get rid of. You can always use the cut and cut again method. Cut all vines to the ground using scissors or a string trimmer to get a close cut. The vines will resprout. Cut again and then again. If you deny the roots leaf growth they will starve out and eventually die. You can also try smothering with cardboard or newspaper and then a wood chip mulch. Using RoundUp can be efficient if you spray on a day when the vines are actively growing such as a sunny day in May. Keep at it and you will will this battle. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
