If you live in the hot summer and warm winter area of zone 10 there is a lot of variety depending on if you are in the dry dessert of southern California or the humid south of Florida. There is also a zone 10a and a zone 10b. For this reason the best advice on what to grow in your neighborhood will be a local nursery, Master Gardener or garden club. You can also observe what is growing well at local parks and professional buildings in your area. In most cases annual plants like thunbergia, ice plant, petunias and geraniums can provide winter color in pots on a small patio. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
