Growing plumeria from a cutting in Florida

My friend gave me two cuttings from her frangipani plants. I am wondering how deep the root system is as I don’t want to plant it to close to the house if it has a deep root system. Do you think they will do okay in the Ocala/Gainesville, Florida area?

Frangipangi is a common name of the Plumeria plant and there are 7 distinct species of this fragrant tree but none are know for their invasive root systems. Easy to grow from cuttings, plumeria needs well-drained soil and sun or part shade and it should do fine in your tropical climate. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
