Yes! Osmocote is perfect for orchids because it releases nutrients slowly just the way they would be fed in the wild. Do not overfertilize your potted orchids. I suggest you use just half of one teaspoon once a year in a six inch clay pot. If you see signs of white salt buildup on the rim of your clay pot that is a sign that you are overfertilizing your orchid plants. The white powder is a build up of salts.
