Marianne's Response
Zucchini Plant Problem
My zucchini plants are big and beautiful but the flowers are growing on long stems instead of growing a zucchini. When I do get an actual zucchini it barely grows and then starts to rot. I fertilized about a month ago. Live in Southern CA inland area.

The most common reason for fruit to rot is too much water. The clue is that you have big plants. Stop watering until you see the leaves actually droop from dry soil. In a few weeks the problem should be solved. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
