Spring Has Sprung Photo Contest 2024

PlantersPlace.com is pleased to announce the 2024 Spring Has Sprung Photo Contest. The contest begins at 8:00 a.m., May 9th, and ends at 11:59 p.m., EDT, June 2nd.
Winning photos will celebrate the natural beauty of your garden, deck, patio, or yard. Suggested subjects for photos include blossoms, leaves, fresh produce, small animals, butterflies, insects, and birds. Photo depicting forests, streams, and grasslands are also welcome. Preference will be given to photos in ‘Landscape’ as opposed to ‘Portrait’ format (read more on formats). For reasons of privacy, avoid submitting photos with images of individuals, even relatives.
Twenty noteworthy photos will be selected by the PlantersPlace staff. A grand prize winner will be chosen from among the twenty photos. The grand prize winner will receive a $100 Amazon gift card. The other nineteen winners will receive $25 Amazon cards.
Photos from the contest will appear in the ‘Member Photo of the Day’ widget on the PlantersPlace Home Page. Winning photos may also appear as headers on the various PlantersPlace landing pages. All photos participating will be available in the PlantersPlace Photo Gallery after the contest is concluded.
A title should accompany photo submissions. We recommend assigning titles that provide information about the name of the plant, insect, animal, butterfly, tree, bird, or scene depicted in the image. Avoid titles such as ‘Pretty in Pink.’ While creative, such titles cannot be categorized by Google’s search bots. The judging panel will not review submissions without titles and will not be eligible for a prize.
Photos remain the property of the entrant. However, submission of a photo grants an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, but non-exclusive license to Bloomington Brands, the owner of the PlantersPlace.com website, to reproduce and display the photo in connection with their advertising and promotional activities.
Registered PlantersPlace members should first login to the site, and then having done so, they can click the ‘Submit Your Photo’ button below.
