Spring Has Sprung Photo Contest 2026

PlantersPlace.com is pleased to announce the 2026 Spring Has Sprung Photo Contest. The contest begins at 8:00 a.m. on May 7th and ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 7th.
Winning photos will celebrate the natural beauty of your garden, deck, patio, or yard. Suggested subjects for photos include blossoms, leaves, fresh produce, small animals, butterflies, insects, and birds. Photos depicting forests, streams, and grasslands are also welcome. Preference will be given to photos in ‘Landscape’ as opposed to ‘Portrait’ format (read more on formats). For privacy reasons, avoid submitting photos with images of individuals, even relatives.
Twenty noteworthy photos will be selected by the PlantersPlace staff. A grand prize winner will be chosen from among the twenty photos. The grand prize winner will receive a $100 Amazon gift card. The other nineteen winners will receive $25 Amazon gift cards.
Photos from the contest will appear in the ‘Member Photo of the Day’ widget on the PlantersPlace Home Page. Winning photos may also appear as headers on the various PlantersPlace landing pages. All photos participating will be available in the PlantersPlace Photo Gallery after the contest is concluded.
Photo submissions should include a title. We recommend assigning titles that identify the plant, insect, animal, butterfly, tree, bird, or scene depicted in the image. Avoid titles such as ‘Pretty in Pink.’ While creative, such titles cannot be categorized by Google’s search bots. Submissions without titles will not be reviewed by the judging panel and will not be eligible for a prize.
Photos remain the property of the entrant. However, submitting a photo grants Bloomington Brands, the owner of the Plantersplace.com website, an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, but non-exclusive license to reproduce and display the photo in connection with its advertising and promotional activities.
Registered PlantersPlace members should first login to the site, and then having done so, they can click the ‘Submit Your Photo’ button in the adjacent box.
If you are not already a website member, you will need to register at PlantersPlace. Steps for registering and / or uploading a photo are explained below. Once registered, return to this page and then use the ‘Click to Submit Your Photo’ button.
