I bought a new house on 4 acres this winter. The deceased owner, Jane, created a wonderland. But in the middle of our deep freeze this winter, I couldn’t tell what was going to become of the bare dirt I saw. It didn’t take long to see the beauty. Flowers everywhere, as well as rhubarb, asparagus, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, grapes and peach and pear trees. The land for which I am now a steward, used to be rolling pastures for the farm across the street. It’s called North Plains and is truly special.
