Potting soil for the PNW

Marianne, I am curious if you have a favorite potting soil for the Pacific Northwest? I have heard many complaints lately about Miracle Grow Potting Soil and I have always used that, but I too have noticed lots of trash in it lately. Is there another kind that you would recommend for our gardens? Thank you for your help!!

Lace Cap Hydrangea

How do I control both. I'd like to have a working garden. Grow my own veggies and fruit and perhaps share with my neighbors. Create a community garden in the neighborhood using the 10 yards of my 10 neighbors.
