All About Cock’s Comb

Cock’s Comb is a well-known garden plant (Celosia cristata) and member of the amaranth family. They are tender perennials but typically are grown as annuals. Cock’s Comb produce a flower that resembles the red combs on the heads of roosters, which is where the whimsical plant gets its common name. Colours range from orange, red and purple to white and yellow. The flowers are showy and have great architecture which makes them striking in both living and in dried arrangements.
