How to cultivate Monstera

(lessons from the school of hard knocks)

Paula Palma purchased her first monstera from Ikea years ago. She didn’t know much about plants then and placed it in a dimly lit corner. It looked great in that spot, but she says it was starved for light.

In this post, she offers a few pointers about what she learned from her missteps.

Paula’s blog, ‘Plant Babies’, offers  advice on growing and caring for indoor plants

What’s up with my Monstera?

“It (my Mostera plant) is starting to grow these weird, stick-like things. What would you recommend?” asks Markisha Horner. Marianne Benetti, our resident Master Gardener, explains what is happening and what to do.

Perfecting your Pothos

Paula Palma writes, “My first pothos was a trooper. It lived for three years in a dimly lit spot on top of a bookshelf.” In this post, she provides the three principles of pathos: light, watering, and structure. Read the details.
