Title:
The Friendship Garden

Author:

Description:
How I started gardening? That’s an easy answer! One flower, one bush, and one tree at a time! When I look back 26 years ago after buying the house I am still living in, I can see all the colors of a garden where there was none before. I wanted a simple garden of flowers to enjoy while sitting in my backyard. With the help of my late husband Bob we started with bushes in the front of the house that were not supposed to reach the rooftops! The love of color grew to the backyard where lilac trees were planted with dark, and light colored blooms. We added garden boxes and roses grew everywhere as Bob had a green thumb! Today I call my yard “The Friendship Garden”. So many friends gave us some of their flowers as they cut back! As I look around and enjoy not only the smell, color and beauty that a garden has to offer, the bushes attracts a home for the squirrels, chipmunks and birds of many species with one bird feeder! My “Friendship Garden”, gives me great joy and spiritual wellness just to sit and admire years of hard work! You got to love it!
