I recently bought a house in Hudsonville, MI. It is known as the "Salad Bowl" of Michigan. It was as inspiration. My sister and I palnted a lot of flowers. I wasn't really thinking about planting a vegetable garden this year. However, my wheels started turning when I spotted two galvanized basement egress window wells in the neighbors yard. He was just about ready to take them to the scrap yard. He said I could have them. I repurposed them into a raised vegetable garden. It is so exciting to see the plants doing so well and we are starting to see the fruits of our labor. We planted summer squash, zucchini, cucumbers, green beans, tomatillos, tomatoes, salsa peppers, green peppers and radishes. The garden has been a conversation piece as well as several neighbors have stopped by to see our creation. They gave us a , green thumbs up.
