Spot composting
Posted by Ronsung | April 4, 2019I spot compost with thrown out vegetable waste such as peels and scraps. Often, there is a lot of citrus peel and coffee grounds. Should I separate these from the rest to avoid making soil too acidic in spots or just bury it all together and let the worms do their work?

Dying Gardenia
Posted by Renee Walls | April 4, 2019I have a gardenia plant that was doing wonderful. I noticed yesterday that her leaves were yellow at the bottom of the plant. I woke up this morning and she looks half dead. You can see the one behind her is fine.

Daphney Adora pruning after moving
Posted by Sue Love | March 29, 2019I had to move (2) 10 year old Daphneys. 2 weeks later it snowed. They are blooming but struggling. I know they hate moving. Do I trim them way back like I do every year or let them be? Would trimming take the growth from the roots or be beneficial? Thank you
