Burlap
Posted by woltzen | November 1, 2017Hi, I’ve heard you can put burlap bags over your vegetable garden. Do you know how to do this and why?Is mulch or something added over or under the bags? I live on the south hill of Puyallup.
Rhubarb

Garlic
Posted by mdumaine | October 31, 2017Think I found some elephant garlic that I forgot I had planted. I pulled it up and it was dirty and had a thin skin that came off while cleaning. It also came apart into several large cloves. Is this edible? Can I plant it again?
Rose blooms with brown edges and deformed shapes

By mid-August, blooms were normal and continued to be normal for the rest of the bloom season. I did not use any pesticides on the roses and would like to avoid ...
saving geraniums over the winter
Posted by Margy | October 25, 2017I bring geraniums into the house to save through the winter. I have four that are bushel basket size. I will cut them back and then put into pots. Do they do better to be in as small as pot as possible, or is it OK to put into a larger pot where the roots have lots of room?
Earthworms and Florida Gardening
Posted by Elizabeth Bauerle | October 25, 2017We now live in Ocala, Florida. The Land of sand. For the past 3 years I have "created" a compost bin to help improve our sandy soil. I have added 6 yards of good soil to our beds. What else do you recommend for us? We rake our grass cutting and use them in our beds as mulch.

Butterfly Eggs
