What is the best way to cut branches from existing trees in order to create new trees to give as gifts for a family reunion? I live in Central Pennsylvania and need saplings in about 6 weeks. Can you tell me which trees work the best and when and how exactly to cut them?

Plants and flowers for colonial-style entryway

I am redoing our front entryway and was wondering what kind of plants and flowers will work in this small space. The bushes are getting removed and there will be a small patio walkway area. I live in New Hampshire by the beach and would like it to look nice in the winter as well as the summer.

Overwatered thujas

I purchased and planted 12 thujas a month ago. I believe I received wrong watering info and overwatered them the first couple of weeks. Several trees have yellowed and appear to be dying, though a scrape of the bark still shows some green. Should I prune the areas that appear dead? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
