Should I hand pollinate my late-blooming squash?

Fig tree won’t produce
Posted by | August 11, 2014My fig tree produced bumper crops for several years, but last year and this year only a few figs have ripened. The rest stay small, hard, and green. I have heard that figs don't require fertilizer or much water. Is it time for me to do something in the way of fertilizer and/or water?
Why won’t my squash plants blossom?
Posted by | August 11, 2014 | Marianne's FavoriteI have a a couple of varieties of autumn squash, and they seem to be doing well. A couple of them have vines and are prolific and healthy, but haven't flowered yet. They all get about the same sun and have had the same fertilizer. What am I overlooking?
