Is it necessary to split African Violets?

When I try to split African Violets it seems that I almost always have no luck. I sometimes destroy both roots. Can I leave them together and just put them in a larger pot, or do they have to be separated?

I have Autumn Clematis, and I love it. I would like to start it in other places. Is it possible to start plants from cuttings from the vine? Is there another way to start other vines in different places? The plant seems to come from one large basic plant with no shoots starting around it.

How to care for mosses in Zone 8

I wanted to put some beautiful mosses in a container with miniature hostas and low growing sedums, went to my local nursery, the mosses they had were labeled for zone 4-7, we are in zone 8. I could not find information on google about zones for mosses. Can you help? Trish

Black spot disease and roses

HELP!!! What is wrong with my roses. The leaves are always turning yellow and with some black spots on them. Not sure if it is lacking some nutrients or what. But all my rose bushes do this at some point. I welcome any help you can provide. Toni
