What and how do I plant areas in layers, for continuous flowering from early spring to first frost or beyond? (USDA zone 7: NC-TN-GA tri-state area, full sun, average well-drained soil, perennials only, no dead-heading required, low maintenance easy-care plants). The first plants would be my daffodils (various cultivars, averaging 18", flowering early thru mid-spring, foliage until early summer/June).
