When Should Dwarf Ixoria Be Pruned?

I planted dwarf ixoria 3 months ago. They are growing slowly. The bottom half of the plant is almost bare branches while the is flowering. Do I wait for the fall to cut them back?

This is the sunny corner of my shade garden. The shade is due to a large Rhododendron. I received starts from my Aunt and a few of these large leafed plants came along for the ride, they have grown to be huge. They are prickly on the back side. Keep or pull is the question, and what are they?

Using Osmocote

We live in Illinois near Chicago and have 44 knock out rose plants. They are doing very well, and we are getting ready to prune for winter. We read that osmocote is good to use over winter but they have several types so we aren’t sure which to use.

Diadora tree top dying

We live in suburban salt lake city Utah. Cold and snow winters hot dry summers. We are on secondary water for yard plants. Our diadora is dying top down. We probably didn't water enough. Should we trim off all brown branches now or wait till dormant winter?

Bulb Baskets

Do bulb baskets work well for planting bulbs? Is it relatively easy to lift the basket out of the ground to separate bulbs or to plant summer annuals in the area occupied by spring bulbs? Thanks!
