What are the large seed-like bulbs growing on my rhubarb plant?

My rhubarb plants have large seed like bulbs growing on them. Some are turning red. Is this normal or should I cut them off?

How to keep soil from washing away in rain

I live in a townhome with small outdoor garden space. Each year I have a problem trying to keep my soil and mulch from washing away when it rains. I have some plastic garden piping in place, the rain pushes everything over it, creating a huge mess. So I feel like I am throwing money down the drain. Any suggestions?

I have a flower bed which was made by putting very large rocks around the bed and then putting the soil in it. (It would take at least 5 men to pick up each rock.). My problem is that the water drains out through the cracks between the rocks. Is there anything I could use to line the bed so ...

How do I save a Hazel sapling that my husband accidentally cut off three inches from the ground? I saved the part cut off and have it in water, hoping to get some rooting hormone and see if I can save it that way, but I wonder if it will grow back from the "stump."
