Pruning a Fire n Ice plant

Using Osmocote on live oaks

How much Osmocote should I use for mature trees (live oaks) that are 10-15 inches in trunk diameter? Also the bottle of Osmocote (indoor/outdoor plan food) makes reference to a "capful". Is the "capful" the spoon that comes in the bottle or is it the "cap" to the bottle or is the spoon one tablespoon?
