I've grown tomatoes off and on with varying success, relying mainly on sun, fertilizer and luck. I have thinned them to two or three per cluster, but have heard that thinning the blossoms before the tomatoes form is more effective. Does that make sense?

Hello I am very interested in growing Boston ivy or Virginia creeper along a fence for spring/summer interest and fall color. It's a cedar fence. What damage might this do to the fence? Will it promote rot? And is this plant easily found in PNW nurseries? Thanks--Juli

I have a beautiful liliac bush outside my dining room window - the wonderful smell!! Problem and question - this bush was here when I moved in, so I'm unsure how old it is, what can I do to promote more lush flowering? Also, should I remove the dead flower bunches? Thanks for any suggestions!

I have wonderful shasta daisys. They r a full sun plant. Why do they droop terrible in above 70 heated days they look awful? When the shade comes they look wonderfull they have done this for the last 2 years. I live in central md. Thank you

need lots of protection against rats for fruit/vegetable/herb garden...please advise. I heard they don't like peppermint and one day after I planted it was all gone...they ate it...they eat all my fruits and veggies and herbs. How can I protect them adequately?

I have some Autumn Joy Sedums that get long and lanky as the end of summer approaches. I had heard that in mid June you should cut the sedums back and they will still bloom but not be so tall and will not fall over come September. Is this true?
