
Our first little garden

STORY: I've always helped my mother garden as a child but now that I'm older and have my own child, I wanted to have our own garden! It's a great way for my daughter and I to spend time together and she's also learning tons! We're starting off small, tomatoes, bell peppers, corn and sunflowers!

Relaxation

STORY: I remember gardening with my mom and dad so I guess that’s where it all started. The photo is my first garden after about 12 years. I miss that garden but am 2 years into a new one. Gardening is relaxing and fun. Plus it’s fun to watch things grow.

How I Started Gardening &the Garden in My Roots

STORY: Being decendants of farmers, it is no surprise my parents always had a garden. This lead to my growing up pulling weeds, picking fruit and vegetables, and watching mom do her canning. When I moved into this home where I am, I immediately needed to start gardening, you could say it was in my roots. Family Tradition

STORY: My 8 year old daughter and I started gardening together about three years ago. I knew nothing about gardens, but we needed a calm outside activity since she was due to have brain surgery and had some heavy restrictions on activities. The following year, after many surgery complications, we found ourselves gently putting in another garden.
